  • What methods of payment are accepted?

    Payments can be made by check or by Visa, Mastercard, or Discover. Credit card processing fees will apply to credit card payments.

  • When will my security deposit be returned?

    Security deposits will be returned within 10 business days from the last day of your lease.

  • Do you offer Damage Protection Insurance or Travel Insurance?

    Dutch Rentals requires either damage protection insurance or a security deposit for all rentals. If you choose to purchase insurance, we offer policies through CSA. Please see your quote for details.

    In addition, you may protect your reservation with Travel Insurance with a policy through CSA. Policy details are available during online booking.

  • Pets? Smoking? House Rules?

    Pets are not permitted with renters. Even if yours if extremely well-behaved, this is an association policy that we must adhere to.
    There is NO SMOKING in any of the units and buildings on the property. Thank you.
    See your rental agreement for further House Rules. Failure to abide may result in charges against your security deposit.

  • What household items will be provided at my rental?

    All properties are equipped with linens, towels, toilet paper, paper towels, garbage bags, hand soap, and basic kitchen equipment including dishes, glasses, utensils, pots & pans.

    We do not provide bath soaps, shampoos, or pool towels, so you should plan to bring your own.

  • What is your cancellation policy?

    We give a 100% refund (minus 3% credit card processing fee) if you cancel 31 days before your arrival date. We give 50% (minus 3% credit card processing fee) if you cancel 15 days before arrival. And we give 25% (minus 3% credit card processing fee) if you cancel 7 days before your arrival date.

    For late cancellations, we will endeavor to re-rent your property to someone else; however, there is no guarantee we will be able to re-rent the time you had booked. If we secure a new tenant at the same price, we will refund your booking, less any applicable commissions, fees, or expenses. No refunds will be given due to inclement weather. If you’re concerned about the possibility of inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances affecting your trip, we highly recommend that you purchase trip insurance.

  • Do I have to pay in full at the time of booking or can I break up the cost into payments?

    All rentals booked within 30 days of your stay must be paid in full at the time of booking. For bookings made well in advance of your stay, 50% is due at time of booking, with the balance due 30 days before your stay. This will be detailed in your quote.

  • What other fees should I expect to pay in addition to the rent?

    On top of the rent, there is a cleaning fee, Vermont State tax, and either a refundable security deposit or insurance policy fee. Some properties may have additional hot tub cleaning fee, but all fees will be clearly outlined in your quote.

  • Will the house be professionally cleaned before I arrive?

    Yes. The property will be cleaned and prepared for your arrival. All beds will be made with fresh linens and all towels will be freshly laundered.

  • What do I do when my rental date arrives? Where do I pick up the key for the house? Check-In/ Check-Out

    About a week prior to your rental, we will send you a welcome email with directions to the property and instructions for access as well as all other relevant information. No keys are necessary, as we assign a secure keypad door lock code for each guest. No late night stops at a rental office!

    Check-in is at 3:00 p.m.; check-out is at 11:00 a.m. We will try to accommodate earlier/later times if requested.

  • Can I host a wedding, party, or other special event at my rental?

    Weddings and parties of any kind are prohibited without prior express written consent. Please contact us to discuss your plans.

  • Can I rent a home for one night?

    No, we have a 2-night minimum for all of our properties, and a longer minimum at certain times of the year.

  • Is there an age minimum to rent?

    Yes. This can vary by property but in most cases you must be 25 years old. Children and teenagers are welcome, but must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
